Regulatory Framework

Built on Chile's strongest environmental compliance framework

Chile’s Law 20.920 (Ley REP) and its implementing regulation DS8/2021 established one of Latin America’s most robust end-of-life tire tracking and valorization frameworks. Vercyc was founded by the architect of that system and operates fully within it.

This means our tire sourcing is traceable to certified collection points, our processing is documented at every stage, and our exports carry the full chain-of-custody records that international buyers and customs authorities require.

Basel Convention

Chile is a signatory to the Basel Convention. All Vercyc exports of end-of-life tires are classified and handled under its provisions, including prior informed consent (PIC) notifications where required by the destination country.

SEREMI Authorization — Chile

Export operations are authorized by the Secretaría Regional Ministerial (SEREMI) del Medio Ambiente, Chile. Authorization documentation is provided with every shipment. Specific certificate details will be published here upon issuance.

Chile's Extended Producer Responsibility decree for tires mandates traceable collection, classification, and valorization. Vercyc's sourcing network operates under this framework, providing fully traceable chain-of-custody for all exported material.

India Import Compliance

Vercyc exports exclusively to authorized importers — crumb rubber and reclaim rubber processors holding valid IEC (DGFT), CPCB authorization, and State Pollution Control Board consent. We do not supply to unauthorized traders or agents.

What comes with every shipment

Every Vercyc container is shipped with a full documentation package. These documents are prepared before loading and shared with the buyer electronically prior to vessel departure.

Issued by the shipping line. Confirms cargo receipt, container number, port of loading, and port of discharge.

Packing List & Cargo Manifest

Full breakdown of tire types, quantities, and weight distribution per container. Prepared before loading.

Certificate of Origin

Officially certified origin documentation confirming Chile as the country of export for customs clearance purposes.

Basel Convention Notification

Prior Informed Consent (PIC) documentation as required under the Basel Convention for transboundary movement of waste tires.

Chilean Ministry of Environment regional authorization confirming the shipment is legally authorized for export.

Certified container weight documentation as required by international shipping regulations and buyer import customs.

Who We Supply

We work exclusively with authorized importers

Under current Indian import regulations, waste tyre imports are permitted only for mechanical recycling — crumb rubber and reclaim rubber production. Vercyc supplies exclusively to processors holding valid authorization from CPCB and their State Pollution Control Board.

We do not work through traders or agents. Every buyer relationship is direct, verified, and documented.

Mandatory EPR registration at eprtyres.cpcb.gov.in for all recyclers as of 2022.
